Oldhall Ponds

Important notice

A section of footpath south of the main pond is blocked by flooding. A detour is way-marked but it can be muddy. Please bear with us while we seek a solution.

The Oldhall Ponds reserve is a mosaic of willow carr, semi-mature planted woodland and tussocky grassland. The ponds have open water and emergent vegetation that is attractive to breeding and wintering ducks. Paths around the ponds provide opportunities for viewing waterfowl and other pond life.

VISITING THE RESERVE

How to get there

Directions

Exit the A78 at the Newhouse Interchange and take the B7080, Moss Drive, to the Oldhall Roundabout. Turn left onto Long Drive and park in the layby approximately 400m on the left. A cycle path goes through the reserve.

Getting onto the reserve

Enter the reserve via the tar cycle path. There is a path round the large pond, including a viewpoint overlooking it.
